Ease of Use and Maintenance:

One of the factors I appreciate about the Polaris 8050 is its easy-to-clean filter canister, which can be accessed from the top of the unit. For example, after a long day of cleaning the pool, I found it incredibly convenient to simply open the top, empty the canister, and give it a quick rinse.

However, the Polaris 9550 comes out on top when it comes to convenience. Not only does it have an easy-to-clean filter canister like the 8050, but it also features a 7-day programmable timer and a caddy for easy transport and storage of the robotic pool cleaner. I was quite impressed when I set the timer for my own pool cleaning schedule and found the 9550 reliably running on schedule with no problem.

Price and Value:

In terms of cost, the Polaris 8050 is generally more affordable than the Polaris 9550. If you’re on a budget and looking for a reliable, powerful cleaner, the 8050 is a solid choice. However, if you have a bit more to invest and desire advanced features, the 9550 is worth considering.

Conclusion

To sum up, both the Polaris 8050 and Polaris 9550 are excellent robotic pool cleaners that are suitable for different needs and budgets. The 8050 offers great performance and cleaning efficiency at a more affordable price point, while the 9550 adds advanced features for those willing to invest a bit more.
